Hillary is George W. Bush in a Skirt

This notion that’s peddled by the religious right – that they are oppressed is not true. Sometimes it’s a cynical ploy to move their agenda ahead. The classic example being that somehow secularists are trying to eliminate Christmas, which strikes me as some kind of manufactured controversy.

Hillary is George W. Bush in a Skirt

There is something eerily familiar with the way her campaign has been plotting and scheming. She has vacillated between hugs and shivs. She has tender moments of tears, and then people sympathize with her. She has woe-is-me moments in which she laments that the media treats her unfairly, and then people feel pity for her. She has snarling moments of attack, launching fear-mongering ads and playing upon the most base elements of our decision making processes, and then people tremble. She manages to intertwine the moments, playing both victim and victimizer and no one seems to notice.

Is it possible George W. Bush has sent her a copy of Rove’s Handbook: Everything You Need to Know to Manipulate the American People? Isn’t Bush the guy we could all relate to and share a beer with? Isn’t Bush the everyman who complained about a liberal bias within the media? Isn’t Bush the person who reminded us every day that the world is a dangerous place in which everyone was plotting to destroy us and used a swift-boat to tear down an American hero?
