Hinting at what would become Jesu, Broadrick rounds off the Godflesh years with classics such as anthem.
I remember the first time I really appreciated Godflesh; I was with friends, heavily intoxicated, we just sat their in the dark, in silence, and just listend to Godflesh’s street cleaner. No one said a word… The music just washed over us. It was a truly memorable life changing time.

And I found my soul,
when every feeling has been crushed by your world,
and you know, I’ll find,
my purity inside is all that’s mine.
You make me feel what you feel,
I will become you ’cause you know what’s real,
and I’ll see what you see,
you’ll never be me ’cause I’ve found my soul.
And I found my soul,
when every feeling has been crushed by your world,
and you know, I’ll find,
my purity inside is all that’s mine.
