Sign the real “Save Win XP Petition” from Info World with over 111,513 Signatures

I’m not sure if either of you have been keeping up with how many users are pissed that they will no-longer be able to buy computers with WinXP (Home, Media, or Pro Edition) on them.  They are pissed due to the high amount of incompatibilities of their older software (and hardware from a drivers standpoint) with Vista.  Currently Microsoft is stating they will NO LONGER ship XP with any newly built systems or sell it off the shelf after June 30th 2008.

What is so threatening about this is that from that point they also won’t be making better drivers for existing equipment for XP hardware as well. (i.e. Video Cards, Chipsets, Digital Cameras, Sound, etc) So if something goes wrong on your system, and you need to upgrade some piece of your computer after June 30th, the replacement part you buy will only have a Vista signed driver. (And will not be backward compatible) SO, having to upgrade a video card may mean you have to buy a whole new O.S. as well. (i.e. Vista)

What is also being reported heavily now is the coming of Windows 7.  Windows 7 is the next iteration of the Windows operating system to replace Vista.   They are doing this due to Vista’s terrible reception and many incompatibilities.  Basically most of the computer industry is calling Windows Vista the 21st century’s first case of bloated junk-ware Windows Me was in the 90’s.

The more daring o f us have ventured into the waters of Linux; and Microsoft is prepping their PR to tell the masses that Windows 7 (this is still a code name; not the official product name) will be to Windows Vista what Windows XP was to Windows Me.

It is very easy to find all of this stuff all over the web at the most esteemed technical websites/webzines.  Many people are saying, “Hold on a moment!” though.

Rather than follow through with their plan of moving the launch date of Windows 7 to 2009 as opposed to late 2010 as it was originally slated; instead let’s implore Microsoft to stick with a system most feel does it’s job just fine (XP – Thank You very much) and come out with a non rushed version of Windows 7 in late 2010 (Fall/Christmas) as originally planned?

As anyone in software development will tell you; rushing development of a replacement product for a product that is currently held in contempt due to its numerous bugginess will only take people down a slippery slope of more failed products.  While this might be great for Linux fans; most desktop users are intimidated at having to learn a WHOLE NEW SYSTEM.

What many petitioners are getting behind (quite quickly mind you) is for Microsoft to bite the bullet and keep all XP editions around until the original planned release of Windows 7 comes out – Late 2010.  Many companies are fighting for Microsoft to see that they will be slitting everyone’s throats including their own: not to mention the hardware manufacturer’s market, business program markets, as well as the PC game market – if they follow through with the arbitrary cutoff date of June 30th for all forms of XP.

Microsoft Vista was supposed to come out and replace XP in 2005; but due to more problems than I have time to explain, they had to stop everything, throw it all away, and start all over again.  This left Vista to come out as an immature/unready product Released to manufacturing in late 2006 (With less than 7% market penetration) and a consumer release in Spring 2007 of which the grand majority of consumers have still said (even as of mid April 2008), “Hell no I won’t buy Vista; I’m just getting comfortable with XP!”.

At this point consumers and hardware manufactures are BEGGING Microsoft to allow XP to still be sold & completely supported past the June 30th cutoff date.  Most folks who buy new computers buy them with Vista already installed; but due to the grand majority of people complaining; Microsoft has granted a Vista downgrade option till June 30th of 2008.

That date is rapidly approaching; and businesses and consumers alike are all dreading the forcing of Microsoft Vista to all consumers for the next year until they will be told YET AGAIN to buy whatever name they come up with for Windows 7 in 2009.  Microsoft sees this as the only profitable option rather than develop Windows 7 as proper new product which has always been meant to be released in 2010.

Microsoft has to accept the fact that Vista is/was a so called “turd in the punchbowl”.  If you look at Microsoft’s stock prices, they’ve never gone down more sharply than since Vista was crowned the flagship of their enterprise.  If they want to save face with businesses and consumers, they must do the right thing and sustain Windows XP until a proper version of whatever operating system name they will give to Windows 7 in late 2010.

What can you do about it? You can sign this petition to make Microsoft look at the facts they don’t want to accept.  If you don’t sign this; perhaps it is because you either disagree with my assertations, or you don’t understand what all of this is about.  If you fall in the latter category; expect that your already confusing world of computing grow much, much, more confusing in the next year.

To put it simply, Microsoft is pushing planned obsolescence down our throats; only instead of XP actually being obsolete and in need of replacement; XP is being tossed aside and not being supported because Microsoft wants you and the businesses that are tanking all over the world to spend billions on an UNEEDED, OVERLY COMPLICATED, NEW VERSION of WINDOWS that will make ALL YOUR COMPUTERS function more poorly thereby CREATING the FALSE NEED for EVERYONE to BUY NEW COMPUTERS, NEW PARTS, AND NEW VERSIONS OF WINDOWS every two years just so THEY can PROP up their Own Industry at the pillaging of all others!

POOR EDUCATION IS A SOCIAL PROBLEM

James Adams first mentioned “The American Dream” in 1931, he wrote

“That dream of a land in which life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement. It is a difficult dream for the European upper classes to interpret adequately, and too many of us ourselves have grown weary and mistrustful of it. It is not a dream of motor cars and high wages merely, but a dream of social order in which each man and each woman shall be able to attain to the fullest stature of which they are innately capable, and be recognized by others for what they are, regardless of the fortuitous circumstances of birth or position.”

From a functionalist sociological perspective we see that society is one interconnected “entity.” In that interconnectedness each branch affects all other branches. One key to ensuring the American Dream for all, is education. I propose this means that lack of education is a social problem.

Kornblum and Julian (2007) argue that social problems are issues related to society that impact upon our quality of life. If enough people agree then an issue is a social problem. They also argue that social problems seldom exist in isolation. Lack of education arguably can lead to many social problems. Poor education can lead to crime, poverty, drug use and sexual risk taking. America as a whole is failing their citizens when it comes to education. Andrew Coulson (2005) writes “The notion that America’s public school problems are confined to inner cities, and that our wealthy suburbs produce world-beating high school graduates is a myth. It’s time we resolve to do better.”

Sexual risk taking is prevalent amongst the poorly educated. John Stoltenberg in his study “Of Microbes and Manhood” mentions how poor education has led to a culture of misinformation. Non vaginal sexual interaction becomes “safe” and disease free. Contraceptives also are deemed less masculine. In a culture where education is frowned upon, and stupidity is embraced, sexual interaction has become one of fear and kept in hushed silence. The sheer outrage produced by Janet Jackson’s nipple on live television only serves to demonstrate the sheer cultural fear of sex, sexuality and actually educating people. The government currently pays schools to promote abstinence based programs. “Friedrichs is aghast that New York City schools only require 10 hours of HIV/AIDS prevention education.” (Bussel, 2005). Tax dollars are given to places that do not provide adequate sexual education. “Mentioning teens and sex in the same sentence, if you’re not condemning them, often has negative consequences. Judith Levine, whose book Harmful to Minors (University of Minnesota Press, 2002) argued that children and teens can enjoy sexual pleasure safely, received death threats, and Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders was let go in 1994 after she advocated that masturbation be taught in schools.” (Bussel, 2005).

One great problem when it comes to education in America is the roles that minorities play. There exists a culture of suspicion and deliberate failure when it comes to education. Amongst young Hispanics and “black” people there is a tendency to see education as not worthwhile. Susan Headden (1997) argues that there are several factors why young Hispanics (especially males) drop out. Headden argues that language can often be a barrier. To second or third generation Hispanics language is not so much of a barrier; however often a child’s parents have little or no knowledge of the English language. Not being able to communicate with their children Headden argues could be seen as a real barrier for overall educational achievement. A larger factor is of course social and economic standing. Headden argues Hispanics drop out because due to their social and economic status in American society they often see employment instead of education as a viable (and sometimes the only) option. Sadly of course a non educated person in America has a far bleaker economic outlook in their working lives. It is a simple fact that high school drop out will simply earn far less than those who complete their education.

This social economic standing is seen also with young “African American” people. Within their community as with the Hispanic community, education is seen as foreign. Where as the Hispanics view education as unnecessary to a large extent, within the “black” community we find education can be seen as “white.” Claude Steele (1992) argues “But you must first master the culture and ways of the American Mainstream, and since that mainstream, (as it is represented) is essentially white, this means you must give many particulars of being black.” This perceived racism that is found in many minorities within America impedes the process of educating America as a whole. Another factor is that minority groups often see education as not being “manly” and essentially something that makes a boy less of a man. Ideas of questioning manhood are highlighted by Stoltenberg (2000) who argues that uneducated young men take greater sexual risks and adhere to old fashioned gender roles. These gender roles help promote ignorance and the idea that a real man does not seek education.

Economic standing in America is a large contributing factor to how well educated you may become. Kozol (1991) outlines a study of a poor neighborhood compared to an affluent New York City school. The poor school is shown to have terrible conditions. One student comments “I don’t go to physics class as my lab has no equipment.” Not only are the children forced to use out dated text books they are also forced to use outmoded facilities. In the urban New York school children had good facilities that by and large were funded by parents. Attitudes of the urban children also proclaimed ideas that children from less fortunate economic backgrounds were simply beyond hope. One student called Jennifer when asked if there is any obligation to help poor children comments “Taxing the rich to help the poor –we’d be getting nothing out of it. I don’t understand how it would make a better educational experience for me.” The economic and social stratification that exists within American society promotes a great disparity between groups dependant on social and economic standing.

Steven Manning (1999) outlines how corporations are buying their way into American classrooms. Corporate sponsorship arguably is one way that America is helping itself to educate itself. By using corporate sponsorship schools gain resources such as text books, classrooms and uniforms. Sadly this has a negative side where education becomes just another product or commodity. Also corporate sponsorship often promotes unhealthy products such as unhealthy beverages or fast food products. Sometimes though local communities sponsor schools and help in the overall education of the children in the community as a whole.

This theme of responsibility within a community is echoed by many. In 1996 current presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton wrote her book “It Takes a Village: And Other Lessons Children Teach Us.” Clinton writes

CHILDREN are not rugged individualists. They depend on adults they know and on thousands more who make decisions every day that affect their well-being. All of us, whether we acknowledge it or not, are responsible for deciding whether our children are raised in a nation that doesn’t just espouse family values but values families and children.”

President Bush coined the term “No child left behind.” The U.S. department of education website states “The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB) reauthorized the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) — the main federal law affecting education from kindergarten through high school.  Proposed by President Bush shortly after his inauguration, NCLB was signed into law on January 8th, 2002.  NCLB is built on four principles: accountability for results, more choices for parents, greater local control and flexibility, and an emphasis on doing what works based on scientific research. The “No Child Left Behind” policy aims to improve primary and secondary education for all Americans. The main focus has been on standardization of achievements, done so through testing. Schools become rated on how well they are doing and improving the overall education of children. Parents then have information to help them place their child in “better” schools (if they are able).

Crime is a huge problem in America. Education of course plays a huge role in the lives of criminals and the whole structure built around dealing with criminals. Bell (1993) argues that “The average inmate in the nation’s correctional facilities is functionally illiterate.” Bell goes on to highlight how America’s prisons are full of poorly educated individuals often with lower than average IQ. By educating these groups, who again are by and large minority groups, we can help lower crime. Again we see in Bell’s article that a culture of mistrust exists when it comes to education. This differs from racial or social factors (where minorities view education as outside their social group, or simply not manly enough) by the actual mechanics of how prisons work. Prisons it is shown actually encourage inmates to not learn. Bell states “Attendance at school is not held in high esteem in the peer group. Classroom time may mean sacrificing income from a prison job, losing a recreational opportunity, or missing a family or lawyer visit.”

As we have seen there are many factors to how education plays a role in America as a whole. The functionalist perspective sees all these aspects as a contribution to the overall social problem. Poor education is arguably at the heart of many great American social problems. A culture that “embraces stupidity” and frowns upon intelligence helps this social problem grow. Corporate sponsorship, seen as a way to help schools is often just a quick fix. Corporate sponsorship often does not work long term. If we balance the figures we can often find that schools are accepting small amounts of money over a long period which gives the illusion of a good economic deal. Arguably the government itself should be elevating schools and education as a whole.

Other problem factors include how society views teachers. Instead of being elevated to a position of social greatness, teachers are devalued and underpaid. Teaching is seen as something you are called to do, much like a priest, not as a viable career path. Education and lack of it, can lead to so many social problems. Crime, poverty, sexual attitudes and practices all of these things are effected by education. Without education the poor remain poor; criminal are unable to read and write and sexual misinformation leads to unwanted pregnancy and disease. If America and Americans really are to live the American dream the cycle of poor education must stop. For the sake of America “No Child Left Behind” must no longer remain as empty words. Presidential hopeful Barack Obama recently said “Every child in America is our responsibility.” Maybe with this sentiment awakening in America as a whole education will be elevated to the position it should be. Although education may not solve all of America’s great social problems, by investing in education we can change that societal web that functionalist sociologists view society as.

There is something eerily familiar with the way her campaign has been plotting and scheming. She has vacillated between hugs and shivs. She has tender moments of tears, and then people sympathize with her. She has woe-is-me moments in which she laments that the media treats her unfairly, and then people feel pity for her. She has snarling moments of attack, launching fear-mongering ads and playing upon the most base elements of our decision making processes, and then people tremble. She manages to intertwine the moments, playing both victim and victimizer and no one seems to notice.

Is it possible George W. Bush has sent her a copy of Rove’s Handbook: Everything You Need to Know to Manipulate the American People? Isn’t Bush the guy we could all relate to and share a beer with? Isn’t Bush the everyman who complained about a liberal bias within the media? Isn’t Bush the person who reminded us every day that the world is a dangerous place in which everyone was plotting to destroy us and used a swift-boat to tear down an American hero?

Since Homeland Security took over the ”Faith Based Initiatives” programs, over a hundred and fifty graduates of Pat Robertson’s Regent University, and mounting others from the Christian Right, have failed to serve their country, and failed at their jobs. God will not run the country, that is a job for men, who understand the fundamental principles and a free republic, and liberal democracy.

”Bob Altemeyer is a Yale-trained social psychologist who teaches and pursues his research at the University of Manitoba. Altemeyer has studied authoritarianism for the past 40 years, and is considered by his peers to be a leading authority on the subject, not to mention a cutting-edge researcher in the field.” Altemeyer serves to explain why people follow such a corrupt polarization of spiritual seekers.

Altmeyer states in regard to the followers of the Christian Right and their quest to attain political power, why the Religious Right is so inclined to follow authoritarianism….

”Because of one of their great vulnerabilities, which the manipulative dominators exploit. Authoritarian followers have basically copied the ideas of the authorities in their lives. They haven’t thought about things to any great degree and then decided what they believe in. They travel in small circles, getting booster shots of faith from one another. They rely upon social support, rather than evidence or logic, to keep on believing what in many cases they’ve simply memorized. As Altmeyer points out in the statement by Adolf Hitler..”What good fortune for those in power that people do not think.” Plato said it best, in regard to sophistry. ”But the art of sophistry, which the Greeks cultivated, is a fantastic power, which makes false opinions like true by means of words. For it produces rhetoric in order to persuasion, and disputation for wrangling. These arts, therefore, if not conjoined with philosophy, will be injurious to everyone. For Plato openly called sophistry an evil art.”

Monica Goodling, Kathleen Harris, John Hostettler (R-Indiana), Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX), U.S. Sen. James Talent (R), MO, U.S. Rep. Ernest “Jim” Istook (R), OK., Anne Northup, a Republican KY., and a host of whole programs have failed in attempts to use God, to do their jobs for them. Americans don’t need more prayer meetings, they need real professionals who can deliver real goods and services.

Recently, several books have been written about the attempts of the Christian right to dominate politics like, ”Tempting Faith,” by David Koa. ”American Theocracy,” by Kevin Phillips, and ”Faith and Politics,” by John Danforth. All outline the political goals of the religious right to influence the Bush, and Christian Rights agenda. All confirm the corruption of the Faith Based Initiative programs. They confirm the intrusion into the American military, the Department of Education, and others. The extent is somewhat shocking to those who are not aware that this intrusion is a ‘real’ conspiracy.

Organizations like Americans for the Separation of Church and State, Mikey Weinstein’s Military Religious Freedom Foundation, have volumes of cases that represent the national attempt of the Christian Right to virtually ‘take over,’ the country, and in essence the Constitutional and religious rights of citizens.
The Christian Right, and the Evangelical movement has made the country weaker by trying to impose their obviously delusional image of themselves as ‘Vice Regents of God.’

The impact of the rise and fall of the American theocracy is that it leaves a huge void in American social policy and ‘funding.’ The breakdown in social services, reflects a breakdown in the Legislative, and Judicial branches of government, and an abused economy. All can be directly related to the abandonment of rights supposed to be guaranteed by Constitutional protections.

My advice to Americans is to take a copy of the United States Constitution into your next visit to worship, and have the clergy put the document on top of the Bible, Koran, etc., and bless it

The Zlob Trojan, also known as Trojan.Zlob, is a trojan horse which masquerades as a needed video codec in the form of ActiveX to view pornographic movies.[1] It was first detected in late 2005. However, it wasn’t until mid-2006 that it starting gaining attention.[2] Once installed, it displays popup ads with appearance similar to real Microsoft Windows warning popups, informing the user that their computer is infected with spyware. Clicking these popups trigger the download of a fake anti-spyware program in which the trojan horse is hidden.[2]

According to F-Secure, a computer security firm, they have discovered 32 variants of this trojan.[3] Some variants of the Zlob family, like the so-called DNSChanger, adds rogue DNS name servers to the Registry of Windows-based computers[4] and network settings of Macintosh computers [5] and therefore could potentially re-route traffic from legitimate web sites to other suspicious web sites.

PHSDL – Project Honeypot Spam Domains List[6] tracks and catalogues Zlob spam Domains. Most of the domains on the list are redirects to porn sites that show a number of inline videos. Clicking on the video to play activates a request to download an ActiveX codec which is malware. It prevents the user from closing the browser in the usual manner. Other variants of Zlob Trojan installation are in the form of computer scan that comes as a Java cab.[7].

The Zlob Team of computer crackers automatically submit forum comments with the use of automated script program like Xrumer creating forum spam If the links are clicked, the Zlob trojan will force itself into installation. These are usually in the form of medicine and pornography promoting but recently have included URLs to flower shops and glasses stores.

The Zlob trojan is believed to be of Russian origin.

A nasty little bastiche. A trojan virus, for those that don’t know even after reading the above, has nothing to do with contraceptives. A trojan virus named after the Greek Trojan horse, is a nasty thing that disguises itself as something else. Beware of Geeks bearing gifts!So the zlob virus, a nasty porn codec virus. A codec is a type of software that allows you to watch certain types of video files.

What did this nasty do? It took over the computer, multiplying the usual “buy our software to get rid of the nasty.” Essentially fork over cash, to the very people that infected you. It did far worse of course, it took over the desktop’s wall paper and even played porno sounds and other wonderful things. So I spent 12 hours ( I kid ye not) helping to get rif of the bastiche. The first thing I thought was to just download a specific nasty spyware removal tool. So thats what I did. Why? Macaffe failed, lavasoft’s Adaware failed, spybot’s search and destroy failed!…I even tried House call by Trend micro, sadly the nasty took over the computer, so that Housecall couldnt even open. Now I have used Adaware Away before for such nasties. Sadly their latest version is no longer free. So after several downloads of garbage (spyware removal software) I was ready to give up. I must add NEVER DOWNLOAD SPYHUNTER. Spyhunter is just another virus…blecch why do these people do these kinds of things?

After 10 hours of remote access using “Logme in” I was ready to give up. Personally I’m scared of “Hijack this.” It sounds like a recipe for disaster, gaining access to the registry and “poking it.” But in the end, I downloaded a powerful registry Dos shell software (Smitfraud Fix). Of course foolishly I “tested” it on my computer, fatal error. So while munching chinese food (tofuy sezchuan style) finally it gets fixed. 12 hours later….Sadly Mcaffe had to be reinstalled, but last I heard, the computer works.

My mistake of course, was horrible. I ended up damaging my registry. A nice virus implanted itself and started created thousands of tiny zipped files in a folder. Every time I rebooted I gained a few thousand more. Of course my registry decided that my firewall and my virus software were no good. My internet connection decided to die every 5 mi9nutes or so after a reboot. All in all an unmitigated nightmare. So what did I do? I Spent a further 40 hours (or so) trying to fix things. I tried to fix the registry…many many many times and system restore several times. But to no avail. I knew it was inevitable, with no virus software or firewall, and a net connection that died after 5 minutes, I was screwed. So then, it was deleting, backing up, moving around, approx. 500GB of data. So as you can imagine that wasn’t quick. So I tried a Windows repair instillation. Nope, no good. So around 3am, I knew that was it. It was time to wipe things.So I went for a new Windows XP installation..but decided to place Windows on a 100Gb partion on my Slave (secondary) drive, instead of on my main C drive. Why? well I had locked Windows off to its own place this way. It seemed a much nicer neater way. As it happens it was. At around 6am I managed to activate my new Windows instillation. I of course have a lot of software to re-install. I do however have the basics, sound, graphics, Microsoft office 2007 ultimate (bought cheap cause I am a student, thank you Bill Gates, you actually aren’t the Anti Christ) security software and firefox. Praise those that be….. I might sleep tonight, you never know.

So the moral of our story? Next time you want to choke the chicken, buy a freaking magazine……

OBESITY IN CHILDREN: A MODERN EPIDEMIC

At the time of publishing’s Greg Critser’s article (2000) approximately one quarter of all American’s under the age of nineteen were obese.  This is an incredible amount of children and a very frightening statistic.  With the untold medical bills due to obesity related illnesses I present here an action plan that public schools can use to curb this trend.

The first major change that must occur is of course dietary change.  A system wide change in public schools must exist.  A gradual if not total phasing out of junk food such as burgers, fries and pizza must occur.  Children like these things though; perhaps a system where a child could carry a card and eat say one or two portions of unhealthy food a week could be created.  This card could be marked or swiped in some way allowing to keep unhealthy food in check for the individual.

Education is of course also important. Children need to be taught the benefits of eating healthy and why they should.  When educated, children will often help their parents. Community wide actions must occur to help this.  It is no good educating children if their parents are simply going to buy and cook low nutritional food.  Community action programs such as those employed by the “Alliance For a Healthier Generation” need to be undertaken.  Here we see education at every level.  If obesity is to be prevented, everyone in the community must be educated.

Along with education healthy use of food and perhaps even mandatory cooking classes for at least a school year for all children should occur.  I myself chose to do cooking class for a year in my tenth grade.  A healthier attitude toward food must then be created.  Critser’s study mentions the long well known problem of portion control.  Americans are subjected to huge portions.  Portion control is a very real thing that must be addressed.  “McDonald’s is taking a good first step in helping to make meal sizes healthier. Their current ‘phase-out of the Super Size fry and the Super Size drink options’ may help to make trips to eat fast food a little less unhealthy.” (Ianelli, 2004)

Soft drinks are also a real problem. “Taking all of this into consideration, soda just doesn’t add up to be a beneficial drink. Even the label on a can states that it is not a significant source of fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium and iron” (Candelero, 2008).  Soda really has no nutritional value. Soda has been linked to hyperactivity, obesity and tooth decay. A system wide replacement of soda in vending machines must occur. Schools must embrace healthier alternatives. In New York City, public schools removed soda in preference for “Snapple.”  Not much better, but still a step forward.  Of course this is also mentions corporate sponsorship.  Corporate sponsorship as mentioned in Manning’s study (1999) addresses the real problem of sponsorship.  For the problem of obesity, corporate sponsorship actually promotes unhealthy dietary practices. Burgers, fries and soda are all thrust into the lives of children from a very young age.  Groups such as Seattle’s Citizens’ Campaign for Commercial free schools (CCC) are helping to curb this trend.  If schools feel they must obtain corporate sponsorship, it would be better if it was from local community businesses which are not promoting poor dietary consumption.

Exercise is a real concern. Today’s children have their computers and their televisions.  With ever increasing urbanization there are often less recreational grounds for children.  An effort to force children to exercise in and out of schools must be made.  Children should be encouraged in school to participate in physical activities.  Recreational playgrounds, fields etc. should be overhauled, built or just maintained. Alternatives to playing in the street, with their computer or just sitting in front of a television should be made.

To conclude here is a list:

  • School wide dietary changes
  • Education of children, parents and entire community
  • Teaching portion control and encouraging cooking.
  • Elimination of unhealthy soft drinks
  • Exercise programs

Now while these will not solve everything overnight, unless something is done, America faces a bleak future.  “The cost to the general public health budget by 2020 will run into hundreds of billions, making HIV look economically like a bad case of the flu” (Critser , 2000).
